Dance As An Expression

Movement is the expression of life, of existence of the universe. This movement is fluid, like the movement of the waves; undulations, vibrations, pulsations. These are the same movement that animate this body we are; this body that does pliés, pirouttés, tondué, leaps and falls...is dance not just another manifestation of the living breathing universe we are a part of? Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing; it's the rhythm of your life. It is an expression in time and movement, in happiness, joy, sadness and envy.

Think about it; playing a piano is just tapping few keys in rhythm and making sounds. Yet a good piece of music can bring you to tears. Drawing is just making few strokes with a pointy piece of lead on a paper. Still, looking at a good art is eye-opening and can tell so much about the artist, and makes the viewer embrace its beauty and its story. Dance is alike, it is not just moving your body, its telling a story. Every movement means something and expresses something. In that sense dancer's are both the art and the artist, creating master pieces with the beauty of their smile, their leaps, their flowing dresses, their curves, arms and the tilt of their head.

Dancing sanctifies our space. It could heighten our sense of being alive by making us one with the very ground we dance on, the air we breath and see the unseen.

Feminism

By Definition feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes.
As stated by Gloria Stenem -"A woman without a man is a fish without a bicycle". Confused? i mean a bicycle is can symbolise an aid for movement. but does the fish really need a bicycle?

The world tends to revolve around the male hypocrites who claim controlling our lives as their noble act towards our safety, security, protection and sanctuary. Protection from whom? other men?
Feminism is the radical notion that woman are people.

Also, President Barack Obama agrees by saying "woman are not an interest group. They are mothers, and daughters, and sisters, and wives. They comprise half of one's country and are perfectly capable of making their own choices about their health.

Gandhi once said, "Many people in this world, especially ignorant people, want to punish you for speaking the truth, for being correct and for being you. Never apologize for being correct, or for being years ahead of your time. If you're right hand and you know it, speak your mind even if you are a minority of one, the truth is still the truth."

I suggest- It's your time. Change your time and the times will follow.  Feminism can change this time.
